Meet Ryan
Ryan Gripp attended New York restaurant School in NYC where he studied Culinary Arts. Ryan has been in the culinary industry for over three decades and has amassed knowledge that will create a rich experience for any student who attends his program. Aside from graduating top of his class from the Culinary Arts Program, he worked at Windows on the World and was awarded Managing Partner of the year in both 2012 and 2017. Welcome Ryan Gripp! |
Our new Culinary Arts Program led by a trained chef and owner/ operator of NJ Poke in Toms River.
Students will be able to prepare and cater meals for in-school events and lunches, attend on campus classes in which important life skills such as kitchen safety, food preparation, following and creating recipes and menus, and learning on the job skills exposing them to workplace expectations and standards. This program will help transition our students into the Structured Learning Experience Program (SLE) once they are 16 years of age, enabling them to obtain a job in the food and/or restaurant industry within the community. All students enrolled will also be certified in Serve Safe, a program designed to equip people with the tools they need to ensure they are using the most up-to-date and effective food safety practices.
